A well-attended Professional Development Workshop at AOM 2026 explored the idea that entrepreneurship is inherently global. Building on the recent Journal of Business Venturing editorial by Fernhaber and Schwens (2026), the session examined how global phenomena influence entrepreneurial individuals, firms, and ecosystems across national borders. The workshop generated thoughtful discussion about the implications of this perspective for international entrepreneurship research and highlighted several promising directions for future scholarship.
