Invitation for chapter proposals!

Submit a chapter proposals for the edited volume on “Language in entrepreneurship across contexts”, edited by Maria Ivanova-Gongne, Maria Hokkinen and Wilhelm Barner-Rasmussen. While language has been widely recognized as central to international business and multinational corporations, its role in entrepreneurship and small business contexts remains underexplored. This volume seeks to advance research on how language functions as a fundamental resource in entrepreneurial settings—shaping opportunities, identities, decision-making, and inequalities across cross-border, social, and digital contexts.
Chapter proposals from a wide range of perspectives are welcome, including qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method studies, as well as conceptual papers, literature reviews, and practice-oriented case studies. The editors especially encourage contributions that engage with diverse empirical contexts and international author teams.
Abstracts/chapter proposals should be 200-300 words in length. Submit your abstract by email to mivanova@abo.fi or mhokkine@abo.fi by 31st of July 2026.
