The Department of Management and International Business (MIB) at the University of Auckland Business School in New Zealand is seeking to appoint a full-time Lecturer or Senior Lecturer.
International Business (IB) scholars with interest and capabilities in SME internationalisation, international entrepreneurship, digitalisation and IB, and internationalisation of firms from small open economies are particularly encouraged to apply.
Candidates at the Lecturer level should demonstrate the potential to publish in top journals in International Business and related disciplines, and candidates at the Senior Lecturer level should have already published in such outlets and have developed a portfolio of publications, including some in top-tier journals. It is highly desirable that the candidate can teach across International Business and other related disciplines commonly taught in a business school. We are preferably looking for an experienced teacher who draws on innovative pedagogies and uses a range of teaching methods.
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), permanent position.
The ideal candidate will be a team player who supports the Department of MIB – and more specifically, the IB disciplinary area – across a wide range of scholarly activities and engagement. In addition, he/she will have strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate plans and ideas. Suitably qualified with a PhD in IB (or a closely related discipline), or close to completion, candidats should also bring the following skills and experience:
- -Potential (L) or proven track record (SL) in successfully delivering IB undergraduate and postgraduate courses in a business school
- -Potential (L) or proven (SL) publication track record in top IB journals (e.g., Australian Business Deans Council A* or A-ranked or ABS 4*, 4 or 3-point journals)
- -Potential (L) or proven (SL) track record attracting funding from both internal and external reputable funding schemes
- -Ability (L) or proven (SL) track record in designing curriculum (part or entire programme/course)
- -Ability (L) or proven (SL) track record in successfully supervising graduate students’ research in International Business (PhDs and Masters)
