Meet IE-Scholar: Sreevas Sahasranamam

Question: What are your key areas of research?

Sreevas Sahasranamam: My key areas of research are around entrepreneurship and innovation in/from emerging markets, with a
predominant focus on social and digital aspects.

Question: What are you currently working on?

Sreevas Sahasranamam: My current projects are focused on creating entrepreneurship ecosystems in rural areas, creating
innovation ecosystems to tackle grand challenges, and exploring the role of digital public infrastructure in
entrepreneurship development. These projects are funded through multiple sources including the British
Academy/Leverhulme Trust, the British Council, and the Government of India.

Question: What are a few of your hobbies or interests?

Sreevas Sahasranamam: I am interested in Indian cultural heritage, so on weekends, I spend time reading about it or talking to
people about it. Last year, this morphed into a podcast called Clyde Samvada, which I co-host.

Question: What advice would you give to someone new to IE research?

Sreevas Sahasranamam: Let your curiosity drive research questions.
