The 2019 Annual PACIBER Meeting was held on July 7-11, 2019 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The theme of the meeting, International Entrepreneurship: Innovations in Practice, Education and Research, provided educators with workshops and discussions focused on emerging trends and best practices in IE. Participants from leading business schools in Australia, Canada, Ecuador, Malaysia, New Zealand, and Taiwan had the opportunity to visit MaGIC, an incubator launched in 2014 by President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Najib Razak with the purpose of further fostering and developing a vibrant startup ecosystem in Malaysia and ASEAN. MaGIC delivers a portfolio of programs to aspiring entrepreneurs at little to no cost allowing them housing, co-working space, mentorship, resources and high-level speakers to help develop their entrepreneurial skills and companies.
